Our Legacy
The roots of our company trace back to 1980, when Mr. R. Ponusami, a visionary entrepreneur with deep agricultural values, established a small but ambitious milling unit under the name Navaladiyan Rice Mill. Driven by his guiding belief — “Quality should never be compromised” — he built a business admired for honesty, purity, and consistency. Navaladiyan Rice Mill soon became well known among farmers and traders for its authentic Thanjavur Ponni rice and its commitment to fair dealings.
Through perseverance and an unwavering focus on quality, Mr. Ponusami transformed a humble local mill into a respected name in Tamil Nadu’s rice industry. His principles of integrity, hard work, and precision laid a strong foundation for the generations that followed.
The Next Generation
Carrying forward their father’s vision, his sons Mr. S. P. Shanmugam and Mr. P. Karthikeyan formally re-established the family business as a partnership firm in 2022, giving birth to Aravind Modern Rice Mill Hi-Tech Paddy Processing Industry. Their goal was to combine traditional rice milling knowledge with state-of-the-art technology — modernizing processes while preserving the quality and authenticity that defined their father’s success.
Under their leadership, the company has evolved into a high-capacity production facility with an output ranging between 120 – 300 metric tons per day, meeting large-scale demand while maintaining meticulous quality control.
